This is a simple 60-second video that captures the truth about life, delivered by Coach Saban. He contends that “Life owes you nothing. Nobody owes you nothing.” Every day you must earn it. If you have talent, but you aren’t disciplined or your don’t focus or pay attention to detail, you will end up with nothing. So, it is incumbent upon each of us to give our best, each and every day.
Joe’s Perspective: We all know this to be true. This is not a secret. Life is hard and it is challenging… every day. We know what it takes to get an A in a class. You have to go to class, study, complete assignments and prepare for tests. We all know what it takes to get better at our sport. You have to work hard, sacrifice, make time for off-season workouts and give a little more every day at practice. The question you have to ask yourself is, do you do these things… every day? It’s easier to jump on your phone and go on social media or watch 100 YouTube videos. That’s easy. And, that probably gets you “nothing.” It’s hard to set aside time every day to get better. It’s difficult to work hard in practice when the pain hits. It’s hard to focus and prepare like you know you need to. But, this is the kind of concentrated effort that gets you… something.
Your Turn: What are your thoughts on Coach Saban’s message on “nothing”?
He’s right because if you don’t put in the work and your lazy all day you get nothing
If you do nothing you get nothing, if you put effort into anything you do, then it will pay off
he’s right that if you don’t put in the hard work then you won’t get far.
He’s right you need to do something to get something you can’t do nothing and expect something.
If you do nothing your going to get nothing
I fully agree with Coach Saban’s message on “nothing”. If you really want to achieve something, you have to put in the time and effort for it. Otherwise, it will be very difficult to achieve that goal.
I agree with his message and I think he is right when he says that we are entitled to nothing.
