Joe Hoedel, Ph.D.
Joe Hoedel earned his Ph.D. from Michigan State University. For 20 years, he has served as the president of Character Development & Leadership. He developed two national programs that improve the character and leadership of secondary students. The first program is the evidence-based classroom curriculum, which is used in 3,500+ schools nationwide. The second is the app-based Student Athlete Program, specifically for use by high school athletes in an athletic environment. Joe also authored a textbook for each program that provides the reader with excellent role models to look up to and emulate.
Dr. Hoedel has spoken at hundreds of schools and countless conferences in the past decade. Being a positive role model and developing the character of each student is the hallmark message of his talks. His inspirational message reminds educators and coaches why they entered this profession and how to keep the long-term perspective of students in mind.
